Only narcissists would create a display with the intent of being offensive to a distinct group of people and then gaslight them into believing that they are over-reacting when said group reveals that they are indeed offended. I find it even more egregious when members of the group attacked come against their own in the manner and philosophy of tolerance, non-judgmentalism and ‘live and let live.’
I do not take it to heart when attacked personally, but I take it most seriously when you attack my Lord and Savior, and my God, and I might just have something to say.
I expect the world to do and say things that are anti-Christ. However, I am still often surprised when people who claim the name of Christ chastise their own for standing up and sharing the Gospel, the Truth of the Word of God. We are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. How can we be such if we always listen to understand and never speak against the evils that surround us? Christians understand perfectly well that they live in a fallen world, yet we have hope and that hope is the Glory of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. May we be faithful and obedient disciples and preach Truth to the lost.
